HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Compassus program serving Hattiesburg and the surrounding areas will host its 10th Annual Night of Remembrance on Thursday, November 3, at Hinton Park in Petal, Mississippi. The purpose of the event is to honor patients who have passed this year and bring comfort to their loved ones.
“Sometimes we have to look back in order to move forward,” said David Chandler, bereavement coordinator of Compassus – Hattiesburg. “The Night of Remembrance will celebrate the memories and love we shared with those who have passed. Our goal is to uplift families, and provide them with the comfort and support they need to heal.”
The Night of Remembrance will include a lighting of Memorial Sky lanterns and a proclamation from Mayor Hal Marx to recognize National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.
