The Compassus program serving Orange and the surrounding areas recognizes Chaplain Carolyn Archer during Pastoral Care Week, October 22-28, 2017, for providing the highest level of spiritual care and guidance for hospice patients and their families.

“We are proud to recognize Carolyn’s tireless efforts to provide compassionate support and exceptional spiritual counseling to our patients and their families,” said Maria Marini, hospice program director for Compassus – Orange. “Hospice chaplains offer spiritual support – directly or in collaboration with a patient’s or family’s own clergy or spiritual counselor – to provide a more meaningful end-of-life experience. Carolyn’s positive and caring attitude, exceptional ability to listen to and comfort patients, and willingness to support colleagues makes her an integral part of our Compassus team.”

Regardless of spiritual, religious or cultural background, Pastoral Care Week celebrates those who provide spiritual support to those receiving hospice or palliative care wherever they call home and in many other settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities and nursing homes.

Compassus – Orange will recognize local pastoral care providers next week by presenting them with framed certificates of appreciation for their dedication to the patients and families they serve.
